Republic tied a school record on the road, honored its seniors at home and watched another record fall in a two-game stretch that secured the Central Ozark Conference West title and sent the Lady Tigers into districts at 22-4.
The 2025-26 Willard High School wrestling season has come to end as both the girls and the boys teams competed in Columbia on Friday, Feb. 27 and Saturday, Feb. 28 in their respective Class 2 and Class 3 state tournaments.
Republic's girls swim team made program history at the MSHSAA Class 2 State Swimming and Diving Championships in St. Peters, sending eight swimmers to the meet — its largest state contingent ever — and advancing four entries to Saturday's finals, also a program best.
Denny McHenry is the new head softball coach at Republic. McHenry, who served as an assistant under Lee Dishman last season, takes over after Dishman's retirement. Dishman led the Lady Tigers to the Class 5 state quarterfinals in his final year.
