Dr. Mark Ross Smith, 52, of Springfield died Aug. 5, 2021. Smith was born Oct. 24, 1968 in Thomas, Okla. to James Everett and Alberta Ryan Smith.
He earned bachelor’s and master’s degree from Oklahoma State University and an M.D. from the University of Missouri College of Medicine.

She was born Dec. 24, 1923 in Minnesota. She married Donald Hankins on Jan. 25, 1942.

Ronald Dean Watts, 75, died at his home in Republic, July 27, 2021. He was born Aug. 7, 1945, in New Orleans, La.
He married Deborah Watts, June 2, 1978. He was preceded in death by his father, Charles Watts, and sister, Carolyn Ann “Sugie” Richardson.

Roy E. Leer, 92, Ash Grove, formerly of Kansas City, passed away July 21, 2021 at his home in Ash Grove.
Leer was born May 16, 1929 in Nevada, Mo., to Bert Nelson and Frederick Ann Klumpp Leer.
