The family of Floyd Eugene (Gene) McConnell is saddened to announce his passing on June 21, 2021 at his home in Billings. He was born May 11, 1930, in Republic, to Russell Eugene McConnell and Althea (Pearce) McConnell.

Louis Beaver, 64, of Brookline, passed away unexpectedly at his home on June 17, 2021, due to COVID related complications. He was born on Nov. 12, 1956, in Springfield, to Mary Lou Craig. He was the oldest of five children in the home. Beaver graduated from Republic High School in 1975.

Emma Lou Barnett, of Billings, passed away with her loving family by her side, on June 21, 2021, at her home. She was born Sept. 6, 1939, in rural Stone County to Everet and Freda (Barke) Hair. She was the youngest of two children in the home.

Shirley L. Nicholson, 78, of Ash Grove passed away Saturday, June 19, 2021.
She was born Aug. 13, 1942, in Mountain Home, Ark. to Charles and Lois (Plemmons) Manuel. On Oct. 1, 1961, Shirley and Robert Nicholson were united in marriage and shared over 59 years together.

Sammy (Sam) E. McCroskey born March 27, 1941, died May 31, 2021 surrounded by his loved ones. He is survived by his wife of 54 years Angeline Greenwade McCroskey, son Matthew McCroskey, daughter Amanda McCroskey, granddaughters Tinsley Goodson and Eloisa McCroskey.

Donald Jentsch, 74, of Republic, died June 6, 2021. He was born Dec. 16,1946, in the township of Rantoul, Wisc., to Robert and Florence Jentsch at the family home on the farm. He attended school in that area, moving to Manitowoc, graduating from Lincoln High School in 1965.
