Republic softball began its week with two conference wins, knocking off Willard and Joplin. Against Willard, Avery Romans pitched a complete game and Jaiden Gibbs homered to help Republic pick up a 7-3 win. Kaitlyn Ragsdale, Megan Weis, A.J.
Republic opened its conference season with a win at home against Neosho, beat- ing the Wildcats 25-16, 25- 16. The win moved Republic over the .500 mark for the season at 5-4-1.
Republic tennis recognized its four seniors, then swept conference rival Webb City 9-0. The win improved Republic’s record to 7-3 overall and 7-1 in conference play.
Republic watched a 24-point lead slip away in the fourth quarter, then marched 80 yards to snatch a victory back from Willard in a wild, 48-43 win in Republic, Friday.
The Willard High School boys soccer team and soft- ball teams both played two games last week. With both teams winning and losing one.

The Tigers boys soccer team hosted the Laquey Hornets on Thursday, Sept. 26 and came away with a 7-3 victory.
In girls golf, the Lady Tigers traveled to Springfield on Thursday, Sept. 26, to take part in the Missouri State Relays and came home with an eighth place finish.

The Lady Tigers volleyball program picked up three more wins last week,
with impressive victories over Neosho, Nixa and Lebanon.
Willard hosted Neosho on Thursday, Sept. 26, and came away with a straight set victory, 25-9 and 25-11.
In football, the Pirates were shut out for the third time this season, falling at home to a powerful Miller Cardinal team, 55-0. The majority of the visitor’ s points, 35, were scored in the first quarter. The mercy clock ran the entire second half.
In volleyball, the Lady Pirates traveled to Sarcoxie on Thursday, Sept. 26, and came home with a three-set victory, 25-12, 21-25 and 25-18.
