The Ash Grove High School boys basketball team ended their regular season with back to back wins and the Lady Pirates won their opening round Class 2, District 11 game after dropping their final two regular season games.
Three Republic wrestlers have advanced to the state tournament in Columbia. Jonathan O’Connell turned in the best performance of the weekend at districts in Union, finishing with a district championship in the 138-pound weight class.

The Republic, Willard and Ash Grove school districts all received perfect or near-perfect scores on the MSIP 5, according to the recently released Department of Elementary and Secondary Education Annual Performance Report for 2018.
Republic went on a 10–0 run to begin the fourth quarter, and that was the decisive stretch in a 40–29 win at Branson. It was the second game in a row that the Lady Tigers opened the game with offensive struggles, only to turn it around in the fourth quar- ter to pull out a victory.
1,000th point in win at Branson Republic’s Broc Smith went over 1,000 points in his career during the Tigers’ 61– 50 win at Branson. He scored 13 points and needed 11 to hit the milestone.
